Before I learned how to design, I learned how to pay attention. Photography first drew me in — how images guide the eye, how color sets tone, and how small details like light can shift meaning. I realized that visuals shape interpretation as much as, if not more than, words do, and that awareness continues to guide my work.
When I begin a project, I start with research and observation, gathering references before sketching and testing hierarchy by hand. I build digitally only after the structure feels strong, refining each element until it communicates clearly. Content drives my decisions as much as aesthetics, and I see limitations as direction rather than restriction — a way to stay flexible, intentional, and responsive to each project’s needs.
